In this post, we have demonstrated the process to compress the size of the images which are placed on Microsoft Word document.
Below mentioned are the steps –
You can see the image below, wherein you can find that an image is placed in the word document.
**Image is owned by the webmaster of this website.
Before compressing the image, size of the MS word file was 74 KB.
Open the MS Word (.docx) document and select the image. Click on the “Format” button in the ribbon as shown below. Then click on “Compress Pictures” as shown below. Then an input box will pop up, which will ask to choose options. I have chosen “Web/Screen” as it reduces more size of the image. Click “ok”.
Once you click on “ok”, save the file.
Now, we shall again check the size of the file. Now the current size is 49.7 KB as we can see below.
- We can select all the images in the word document or a single image of which we want to reduce the size.
- You can use Editing options in “Snipping Tool” which is available in windows, it has multiple options to format a screenshot. Please see the screenshot below.
- Simply take the screenshot of any image or file by “Snipping Tool”, then on the right side you can use this option which is highlighted below.Icon highlighted in green can be used to format in 3D as well.
